Bored to Panic

December 19, 2005

Del.icio.us is down today. At least so far this morning it has been. Appently they suffered from a power outage recently and it has caused many problems with things. That flat out sucks. Here I am at work with most of my days entertainment gone. You don’t realize how much you rely on something like a central web-based collection of bookmarks until it’s brutally taken away from you. Not only did I use it for various personal bookmarks, but also to discover new stuff. In fact I would just about swear that is what I miss more. I can survive without my up to the minute links for awhile, but I can not survive without everyone’s elses. That just isn’t fair. The trends, and popular links are passing me by without much regard to how I feel and frankly I don’t like that at all.

Dirty Slacker

December 13, 2005

There goes my idea of keeping up with this thing. I said I was to post 3-5 times a week, and it’s been a couple of weeks since the first post. Now I will try this again with more dedication this time. Some of the things that I have in mind for upcoming posts include the cheesy, but almost required top lists for the year. For the past week to week and a half I’ve been churning through the various music releases of the year, and have so far determined two things.

  1. It was a better year for music than I had expected.
  2. Instead of a smallish top 5, I will have to expand it to a top 10.

Even though it may seem as the two points are similar they aren’t as close as that. The first point means that the music that I have found to be worthy of my pathetic time have been better overall than what last year’s crop produced. At least that is what it seems like. Maybe I’m just more into it this time around compared to last year, but who knows?

For the next couple of posts, I will most likely first go over my list for movies that are on my list so far, and then the canidates for the musical portions.
